Batman Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of September of every year and will be celebrated on Sept. 21, 2024, in comic shops worldwide.

This Batman Day marks the debut of the final part of the “Long Halloween” trilogy. Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale created the first two parts of the trilogy, the classic “The Long Halloween” and “Dark Victory.” The pair had planned to return for “The Last Halloween,” but due to Sale’s death in 2022, the project is only now coming to fruition, with a host of all-star artists attached.

“Batman The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween is Tim Sale’s parting gift to me,” said writer Loeb in a press release at DC Comics. “Tim and I had already decided to tell this last chapter following Batman: The Long Halloween Special, which will serve as the prologue to this 10-part action-packed mystery.”
