Matthew Price worked for The Oklahoman newspaper from 2000-2018 and was the features editor from 2009-2018. He’s a University of Oklahoma graduate who has also worked at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and was a Dow Jones Newspaper Fund intern for the Dallas Morning News. His column on comics, Word Balloons, ran weekly in The Oklahoman’s Weekend Look section from 2001-2023 and continues currently on Substack. Matt’s blog was honored by the Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalists and was rated a top-ten comics blog nationally.  He’s won awards for leisure reporting, film reviews, blogs and entertainment features while working as a journalist.
