Two places to see me this weekend

Two comic-book events are happening in central Oklahoma this weekend, and I will be out representing Speeding Bullet Comics and the Infinite Danger Room podcast at both of them. I’ll probably also have a few “The Grave” and “The Posthuman Project” comics on hand if you’ve just been dying for an autograph.

On Friday, Speeding Bullet’s Dan Nash and I will be taking part in the festivities at Plaza Con, the second Friday artwalk at LIVE! on the Plaza that this month has a comic-book theme.

Other artists and comic book creators set to attend include John Eric Osborne, Charles Martin, Dylan Cole Black and Jeff Provine.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in the Plaza District.

On Saturday, Dan and I, along with friend-of-Speeding Bullet and Infinite Danger Room podcaster Kade Poulson will be on hand at Shawnee’s Uncanny Comic Expo, organized by Peter Purin.

Purin told me he wanted to hold something in his hometown that was affordable and fun for everyone. He’s also raising funds to help local fine arts programs.

Writer James Hostler (“The Bobcat”) and creators from Equinox Comics are also set to attend.

Uncanny Comic Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Firelake Arena, 18145 Old Rangeline Road in Shawnee. General admission tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door.

See you there!
