‘Heroes of the Realm’ takes home Spirit award in Chicago

At the recent Juggernaut Film Festival in Chicago, “Heroes of the Realm” won the Unicorn Indie Spirit Award.  Director Kyle Roberts and director of photography Andrew Smith were on hand to claim the award.

“Heroes of the Realm” was created as a 48-hour film directed by Roberts and written by Matthew Price, Sean Thiessen and Jon Skelly.

About the film: In a world where magic reigns, one tyrant was the undisputed ruler. But when magic opens a portal to our world, it’s up to a pizza delivery woman to make the most important delivery of her life. Starring Kate Le, Stephen Goodman, Kato Buss, Alissa Ford and Raychelle McDonald.

About the festival: The Juggernaut Film Festival is an International Sci-Fi & Fantasy Short Film Festival held annually in Chicago, IL.  The festival is a one-day event to celebrate Science Fiction and Fantasy short films from around the world. It is presented by Chicago’s Otherworld Theatre Company, whose mission is to further explore and promote the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre.
