SoonerCon 27 is in the books, and for me it was a lot of fun.
The Oklahoma multi-genre show is generally a place where I can catch up with a lot of other creative and nerd-adjacent people, and it was great to have the opportunity to meet with friends old and new again.
Several people wanted to check out the latest “The Grave” comic book, which is nice, and the panels I moderated or otherwise appeared on seemed well-received. My “fan” fun this year was getting to moderate a “Wild Cards” panel; I’ve been reading those books since I was a teenager, so that was quite a thrill.
This is the last year for SoonerCon at the Reed Center in Midwest City, at least for now, as with 2019 the show will move to the Embassy Suites in Norman.
