Rett Terrell as Walter Crim in “The Grave.” [Reckless Abandonment]
I wanted to share some information from the Oklahoma Film and Music Office about a new screening for “The Grave,” the film that I wrote based on my comic-book character, that was directed by Kyle Roberts. The film will be one of those shown at the Heard on Hurd event in Edmond this Saturday, July 20.  This is the third annual Film Fest during Heard on Hurd, with special thanks to deadCenter Film.

“The Grave,” directed by Kyle Roberts, screened at San Diego’s Comic-Con International in 2018, and was named best short film at December’s “Oklahoma Film Fest ’18.”

“The Grave” stars Rett Terrell, Collin Place, Alissa Rose Ford, Adam Hampton, Stephen  and Jacob Snovel.

“The Grave” was written by Matthew L. Price and was based on his comic book character who first appeared in “Speeding Bullet Comics Presents.”

The hard-hitting, comic book-inspired film is a pulp noir-style adventure set in the freewheeling Oklahoma City in the 1920s.  In 1920s Oklahoma City, a few men are above the law. Fortunately, crusading reporter Walter Crim stands up to those who would oppress the innocent. When Crim can’t achieve his aims through the press alone, he becomes the dark avenger known as The Grave!

The most recent comic-book tale of The Grave appears in “Okie Comics” #4, available at comic shops and other locations in the OKC metro and at okiecomics.com.
